As most of you know, April was Child Abuse Prevention Month. During April, Mary Lee’s House plants a pinwheel garden as well as hosts various events to show our support for this cause. Due to COVID-19 and Stay at Home Orders, we were forced to cancel these events and activities.
Despite this set-back, we decided to launch our Pinwheel Pop Up, a virtual pinwheel garden, to continue to spread awareness for child abuse prevention. Many of our supporters made and decorated their own pinwheels and posted it on social media using the hashtags #MaryLeesHouse, #ChildAbusePrevention, and #PinwheelPopUp. We were so delighted to see so many individuals and agencies supporting this cause by posting their beautiful pinwheels during these stressful times.
