Mandatory Reporter Training

Mary Lee’s House partnered with the Department of Children and Families to host an annual training on mandatory child abuse reporting. In June, over 325 attendees gathered at Stetson University College of Law’s Tampa Law Center for an education presented by the Florida Abuse Hotline.

Safe Baby Symposium

Mary Lee’s House was a proud sponsor of this year’s Safe Baby Symposium, presented by the Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County. The symposium provided information and education on lowering infant mortality through well renowned guests Michael H. Goodstein, author of Working Together to Reduce Infant Sleep Deaths, and Harvey Karp, author of The Happiest Baby on the Block.

Law and Liberty Dinner

Mary Lee’s House is honored to be a recipient of this year’s Law & Liberty Dinner, hosted by the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation, which raises funds to benefit the charitable endeavors of the foundation. This year’s dinner featured political insiders Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, managing editors of Bloomberg Politics, who provided an entertaining look at the current presidential race.

Lauren Book Visits Mary Lee’s House

Lauren Book, found and CEO of Lauren’s Kids, and a victim of childhood sexual abuse, visited Mary Lee’s House during her annual ‘Walk in my Shoes’ Hope and Healing Tour. Lauren and her father presented their new Guide to Hope & Healing, a resource for parents and caregivers impacted by a child’s sexual abuse. Healing kits are available at no cost. Give Day Tampa Bay

Mary Lee’s House participated in our second Give Day Tampa Bay, an annual 24-hour online giving challenge. South Tampa restaurant Ava, provided an amazing outdoor setting for contributors to relax and enjoy great food all while donating to our organization.
